About Keystone
Laboratories
Our Beginnings
Keystone Laboratories, Inc.was founded in 1923 in Memphis, Tennessee.
The original idea to start the company was inspired by a true entrepreneurial
spirit and an attempt to meet the needs of a growing African-American community
in Memphis.
Keystone Laboratories began formulating products not available
to the average consumer. Its initial product offerings included tooth powder,
beauty soap with pine tar, hair grease and deodorant powder. Products were sold
door-to-door and provided extra earnings and income for "Independent Agents" during
the first thirty years of Keystone's existence. At one time Keystone employed
over 4,000 Agents across the United States.

Our Philosophy of Responsibility
As a contributing member of the community, we cherish our role
as a corporate citizen and our involvement in the community. In 1982, Keystone
established the Menke Foundation to support community based education, social
& charitable organizations, and the artistic community. Most recently, sizable
contributions have been made to historically black colleges and institutions to
assist in furthering the education of needy students. During the past twenty years,
charitable donations from the Menke Foundation's programs have totaled several
million dollars.
We at Keystone Laboratories are proud of our past and eagerly
anticipate the promises and opportunities of the future.
